Loran visited Chicago for a weekend, and we all had a great time. On a perfect summer Saturday, we went for a 10 mile bike ride along the Lakeshore...stopping for an occasional rest, people watching, and taking in the view. Loran said that she had a wonderful visit, and the highlight for her was the "best salad of her life" which was about three heads of lettuce with all of the fixins' at the Grand Lux Cafe.
In addition to the day in the city, we also went to dinner at Claras, watched Wall-E, shopped for bridesmaid dresses, practiced yoga, saw Cirque du Soliel, and ate sushi. Loran also had her first pedicure. We were very glad to share this time with Loran before she heads off to college in the fall.
