San Gimignano turned out to be one of our favorite places to visit. It is like stepping back in time to a medieval walled city in the heart of Tuscany. San Gimignano is known as the "Manhattan of Tuscany" due to all of it's towers. We also had an amazing bottle of white wine with dinner known as Vernaccia, which is unique to San Gimignano. We tried to buy a bottle of Vernaccia back here in Chicago and unfortunately, it was not the same brand and was not quite the same.
