At the end of this school year, 2014-15, I celebrated completing my 20th year of teaching. It's not common to be at the same job and same school for your entire career, but it certainly seems that I am on my way to accomplishing that! I look forward to the future year in teaching, but am also nervous because I need to teach topics that I haven't seen myself since high school. Nevertheless, it will be a nice change to not be teaching Algebra I any longer. I am proud of the difference I have made in the lives of others, and was really excited when my 5th period class devised a theamed "beach day" to celebrate our last day of school and had the entire class sign a card of gratitude.
