Blizzard 2011

The Blizzard of 2011 was truly a historic event for the Chicagoland area. These pictures were taken on Wednesday morning around our neighborhood. You can clearly see why everything was shutdown for the day. Good thing Valerie did not go into Labor!!

By the way, if you ever wondered why they put those fiberglass sticks on Fire hydrants - this is why. The hydrant is completely covered. All you can see is the fiberglass stick.
It is a little hard to tell how deep this is but the red brick starts about four feet from the ground.
This is our front door. The snow was up to the third step.
