Santa Visit

This Santa is the real one... we know because, well... first of all, we saw him before Thanksgiving... and everyone knows that the real Santa goes to the North Pole after Thanksgiving to prepare for Christmas and check on the elves. Also, his beard was real. Abby verified it by pulling on it without asking. But, this guy also knows the Tooth Fairy and said he'd talk to her about getting Abby some teeth because they are friends. So, all in all, this visit pretty much proves that our visit was legit and reminded us about the magic of the season. There are just too many awesome photos so we posted a bunch.

Kriskindle Market

This was a fun year for the Naperville Kris Kindle Market. The Naperville Chorus was given the opportunity to perform carols one weekend. Then, a few weeks later, Sophie's Dance Crew performed there as well! This also meant two nights of looking at fun lights, drinking hot chocolate, and eating pierogies. Yum, yum!!

Movie Night

There's nothing like having a whole row of cousins and Grandma at the movies together! Movie of choice: The Star

She’s back!

Susie is back! Our Elf on the Shelf made its appearance on time this year right after Thanksgiving to watch over the girls each night. Susie even delivered new letters to Santa detailing what each girl wanted for Christmas. Sophie wrote: a suitcase, Apple Watch, dangle earrings, and makeup. Abby requested: a desk, a stuffed toy of Santa, nail salon stuff, and her 6 front teeth.

Annie Baby!

Sophie and Abby were again on stage together... this time singing their hearts out to some of the best of songs from Annie. They had such a fun time in this year's show with their friends Stella, Evie, Savannah, Megan and Taylor. The girl love the stage.

Pre photos for the Preshow...

Look at these cuties all ready for their debut as Annie Babies at Pheiffer Hall. They are all excited to sing their hearts out on the main stage.

Little Mice all around

Harper and Abby are getting more and more excited as they practiced in costume this week for the Nutcracker.

Free of Sins

Sophie made her First Reconciliation today at Saints Peter and Paul Church. She was very excited and a bit nervous, but did a great job going to confession. Unfortunately, she didn't last more than a day without fighting with her sister, which was one thing she told the priest she would work on, so she pledged to go back to confession again real soon.

Handwriting funnies

I love that Mrs. Bibby marked this incorrect because she didn't know that "Me Too" is the name of a song! Hahahaha...

It’s showtime in the city!

Abby is super excited to be in Chicago for the Nutcracker performance!

All I Want...

All Abby wants for Christmas is her 5 front teeth! Yes, that's right she lost 5 teeth in 3 weeks time...

Thanksgiving 2017

We had a fun family gathering in Southern Illinois with the Guebert side of the family for Thanksgiving. The highlight was getting a chance to meet our newest baby nephew, Max. The girls also enjoyed seeing the movie Coco with their Grandparents and playing with cousin Xander.

Down on the Farm

Abby took her turn at learning to drive the tractor. It's a good thing that Mom didn't know this was going on— I don't think she should be driving until age 16!

Veterans Day Run

We were proud (and cold) to participate in the first annual Ecolab Veteran's Day 5K run and walk. It was fun to see our old friends Kendall and Dylan. It was amazing to see how fast Dylan ran the 5K — in 24 minutes...wow!

First Grade Photo

This is the beautiful artwork of Anne Metzger of Mrs. Bibby's class. Unfortunately, we did not win the piece but luckily I have a copy of this picture. What a lovely group of kids!
