Wedding fun

Here are a few fun family pics from Mark and Natalie's wedding in St. Louis. The girls had such a great time seeing their extended family members, playing with their cousins, and dancing! This truly was a well planned and fantastic wedding— well, second to my own of course. Congrats to the bride and groom and to the wedding planning that went into this huge event!

SPA Presents Hamilton Camp

One of the highlights of the summer for Sophie and Abby was performing in SPA's production of Hamilton with Becky Cooper directing.  The kids did a wonderful job and had a great time!

Eclipse

Abby was very proud to show her classmates photos of the solar eclipse that she was able to experience with Daddy and Abby down in Southern Illinois. She and Rodger made a poster early before school and brought it to school to share with the class. Mrs. Bobby even hung it in the hall for the whole school to see.

All About Sophie

This was Sophie's creation on the first day of second grade. I love reading her answers, especially that about her sisters! She did a great job completing and coloring her work too. We are very proud of her.

Fun Fair 2017

Naper Fun Fair is always a hit for the first week of school. The girls favorite part is always getting their hair dyed and face painted.

Thank goodness for this photo, as I forgot again this year to have someone take a picture of my kids on the first day of school!  At least the teachers do it for us at Naper School!

Last Hurrah

As a treat on the day before school started, we took a family day and went downtown Chicago for the day. The girls enjoyed "Madagascar the Musical" and we enjoyed eating brunch at Riva overlooking a beautiful Chicago skyline. Goodbye summer... we will miss you.

Ice cream party

When the weather is too bad for s'mores and a fire, we bring the party inside and have a make your own ice cream sundae bar. I mean, isn't Sanders hot fudge better than a smore anyway?!?! These kids all say YES!

Caveney Cove 2017

It's time for a little rest and relaxation in Michigan after a summer of running around. We had a few days of quiet, alone days as a family at Caveney Cove to spend some great family time together. The girls learned to kayak, we went on some relaxing boat rides, and just hung out and enjoyed each other's company. This is what vacation is all about and we are so lucky to have the opportunity to have a generous friend and the time to do this each year.
