Jaskowiak Reunion 2017

The Jaskowiak Family came together again this summer in Sheboygan, WI for our triennial reunion.  Family turnout was not the record level we had in 2014 but it was still wonderful to see over 250 family members come together from around the country to celebrate five living generations.  In addition to the reunion, we celebrated a 65th wedding anniversary in the family along with GG topping 103 yrs. old.

Following the mass celebrating Ted and Carol's 65th Wedding Anniversary, Judy Lukach hosted everyone for a blueberry brunch in her parent's honor but also in memory of Auntie Helen who passed away earlier this year.

Classic Meet- Sophie

Sophie was a rock star at the Classic Swim Meet. Her relay team won the city meet, and she placed in the top for both of her two individual events. At the Cress Creek Awards night, Sophie was given the Most Improved Award for her age group. She has become such a faster and better swimmer. Sophie loves the butterfly stroke but enjoys and does well with all of them. Congrats on a great season!

Classic Meet- Abby

Wow... what a strong finish to the season for Abby. She placed in both of her events at the Classic Meet and swam solid times for her team. In addition, Abby was named the Most Valuable for her age group at the Cress Creek Awards Banquet. She has improved so much from last year to this year and just loves swimming. We are so proud of her.

Swim Team Pasta Party

It's time to carb load before the big swim meet! This is when the girls all get dressed up and can barely recognize each other because I they usually see each other in swim caps and suits all of them time! But it's a great night of awards and laughter for the coaches and the kids. It's one of their favorite nights of the summer!!

The reward...

The girls had a goal to reach, and it was a huge one. Each was to complete the entire IXL level for their grade. If they did, each could pick out ANYTHING they wanted for a gift. Abby selected a new fairy garden and Sophie wanted a new Lego set. I figured this was totally a win win. They practiced their math— over 20 hours worth— and I was expecting them to want a car or vacation! They are as happy as can be. And so am I...

July 4th in Northern Michigan

After celebrating the anniversary, we jumped in the car for an all-night drive to enjoy the July 4th holiday in Northern Michigan.  Below are a few highlights from the trip.

Rodger and Janis Guebert's 50th Wedding Anniversary

We traveled to St. Louis to come together with the family and friends at Maggiano's Restaurant to celebrate Rodger and Janis' 50th Wedding Anniversary.  Below are a number of pictures from the evening along with the video that was put together to celebrate their 50 years together.
