Naper School Fun Run

Let's just say that some kids liked this event more than others....

Abby didn't want to run, she didn't really even want to walk.  But, with her Dad by her side, she did indeed finish the event.  Mason zoomed in first place, Abby was in dead last (even after the next grade started their race!)  Sophie successfully completed the two laps of running. She was encouraged at the end by Daddy to finish strong.  At this point, I can say that I don't believe either of our girls will ever be runners.  But, we will continue to try to promote a healthy lifestyle! : )  Here are some photos of the event...

ABC Countdown...

It's nearing the end of Kindergarten for Abby.  And that means, it is time for the ABC countdown to the last day of school.  For example B day was wear your shirt backwards day, H day is Hat day.. and C day was Crazy hair day.  Here's Abby's creation...  she is really looking forward to so many more of the days, but mostly to Z day, and ZOOMING on to first grade!

Abby's First Sleepover

Abby was beyond excited to have her first friend sleep over at her house.  They had an entire agenda of what they were going to do, eat, play and wear for the whole night.  The girls had a great time, made a huge mess, and stayed up past Mommy.  They also woke up at 5:45 am, made their beds, got dressed on their own and played before anyone else got up too!  The only problem... well, see the photo below... : )

Daisies at Kidz Kabaret

The kindergarten Daisies learned about the be courageous and strong while on stage.  They went to Kidz Kabaret to do a mini-performance of "The Wizard of Oz".  Abby was the Lion.  Here are a few photos of the perfornance.

Easter Celebration 2017

We are not only celebrating Easter, but also celebrating the news of a new baby cousin on the way... due in September.  We could not be more excited for the family!  Here are some photos from the weekend, including a super fun day at Grant's Farm.

Hamilton

 I cannot begin to describe how Hamilton the musical has become such a crazy phenomenon in culture and in our house.  If given the opportunity, I think that Sophie and Abby would listen to this music every single day.  Sophie in particular is quite obsessed with Hamilton, the story of Hamilton, the Schulyer sisters, and Lin Manuel-Miranda.  We are happy to share her love of the show and theater and also agree that this show is truly one of the most amazing productions this century and should be seen by all.  It brought us great pleasure to bring our kids to Hamilton and we thank Andy and Margret for buying us the tickets to see the show for us ourselves.  I know that we will go see this show again, but certainly, seeing it for the first time was a special experience and one that they will not forget.

Yes, that's Abby... raising her hand to throw the ball in during the game.  She's much more engaged and excited to be a part of the soccer game this season and we are all very excited to see how this season goes!!
