Busch Gardens Safari 2017

After a day at Sea World, we went in the other direction and spent a day at Busch Gardens.  Rodger surprised the girls with our personal safari tour. (well, it was with one other family, who ironically was from Naperville!!) On the safari, we were able to encounter the animals in their own habitats AND spend special time with the giraffes.  The giraffes walked up to the trucks and we were able to pet and feed them.  They even posed for photos!  After the safari, the rest of the day was all about thrill rides... well, until we made Daddy go on a spinning roller coaster.  Then, he had to take a bit of a break!  All in all, it was a super fun day at Busch Gardens.

The best part of Busch Gardens is always the roller coasters!!

But this was a new experience for all of us!!

Sea World

It's always a fun filled day when we spend it together at a theme park!  At Sea World, we enjoyed both rides and shows... but the most thrilling of all was the animals of course.  From the flamingos to penguins, dolphins to killer whales, we all enjoyed seeing and learning about the animals in the water.

This is a BIG deal!

Finally, Abby realizes that she likes going down water slides. She went down it once, reluctantly, with Mom. And after that, she didn't stop for about an hour doing it over and over again.

A little golf

The kiddos needed a little golf encouragement from their cousins and Grandparents to ensure that they liked the sport and wanted to sign up for it over the summer. Of course, they had a blast! But, compared to the Binkowski kids... could use a lot of practice!!!

More pool fun

Just another day at the pool... working on tricks and jumps!

Just a day at the pool

The best part of this spring break was doing a lot of nothing at Grandma and Papa's house. We spent a lot of time in the pools just swimming and playing with our cousins.

It's a tradition....

Winter the Dolphin

Spring Break 2017 began with a real treat for the girls. On our way down, we stopped at the Clearwater Marina to see the real rescued dolphins Winter and Hope from the movie "A Dolphin Tale". It was a great exhibit and facility.... all of us enjoyed seeing the real Dolphin Winter and all of the other sea animals that were there. The girls loved the sting rays, sea turtles, fish, and dolphins. They also loved the gift shop of course. Sophie picked up a new pair of earrings and a Winter stuffed animal with removable prosthetic tail. Abby picked out two books and toys to play with. Both were very happy girls after the visit.

Indoor Soccer -Kindergarten

Abby enjoyed her first season of indoor soccer with her teammates. She was definitely more engaged the game of soccer and had fun on the indoor field. This team of girls is quite good and we look forward to the spring season outside together!

Building girls to be courageous and strong

I was quite proud of Sophie today and her choice to be courageous. At the Daisies meeting when girls were asked to think of a way that they were going to show courage, some girls were coming up with answers that were just ok.... but Sophie's was quite mature for a first grader and I really hope that she does this. She said that she would "stick up for friends" that get bullied. Wow.... what a powerful statement for a seven year old. It takes a lot of courage, but I know she can do it!

No school day!

Abby and Mom had a special day together when it was Kindergarten preview day. We went shopping to spend her birthday money, out to lunch and played at home together. What could be more fun?!?

Science Fair 2017 - Are We Twins?

The Guebert girls studied genetics to find out how traits are passed down from parents to children. They tried to answer the ever famous question we are asked, "... are they twins?" The girls had the most fun interviewing their relatives to find out what their genetic traits were, especially if they could roll their R's. Thanks to Daddy who served again on the science fair committee and helped with the poster too!
