More Graduation Pictures

Abby's Graduation

It was a big day for Abby and for our family. Abby officially graduated from the kindergarten program at Bright Horizons. Just like her older sister, she will be in public school kindergarten next year but we know that she will enter confident, smart, and ready to learn! We are so proud of all that Abby has done to grown this year. She has really picked up on reading lately and is kind to others. At the ceremony she showed us all artwork depicting what she wants to be when she grows up... Abby's drawing is in a phot below. She wants to be a Mom. Abby was so excited to have her parents and sister there to see her graduate and was happy that her sister bought her a present. She cannot wait to go to Naper school in the fall.

First Grader

Sophie is officially a first grader now!

Last Day of School

"We had a Ball"..... Here's a pic of Ms March and her girl clan from the end of the school year. These girls absolutely loved their teacher. Thanks to Ms March for a wonderful first year of school at Naper.

Field Day 2016

Field day is all about fun and games at Naper!

Fun in Chicago

We went to the city for a show and an evening.... Mom and Dad as well as Grandma and Papa went to see The King and I at the Lyric. It was a fabulous show! The girls enjoyed swimming and ordering room service with Auntie Kay Kay at the hotel. We all loved branch at Wildberry Cafe and our walk to Maggie Daley Park. It is always amazing how much fun we can have being tourists in our own town. I'm grateful for a family that loves to go out and have fun experiencing new things and enjoying the city life just as much as I do!

Fun at Naper Ice Cream Social

The highlight of the evening for Abby was not the ice cream but rather the henna tattoo... Here's evidence of her experience!

Hmmm....

Do you think Sophie will be a teacher someday?

Abby artwork

Here are some of Abby's finer pieces.... Spring PreK

Happy Mother's Day 2016

We celebrated Mother's Day with a lovely brunch at Cress Creek and a relaxing afternoon at home. Mommy even got to take a nap! Thanks to the girls and Rodger for the thoughtful gifts from homemade coupons and breakfast in bed to new outfits and earrings from Tommy Bahama. The best part was simply spending time with my family.

Webster Street Jammie Party

Impromptu Friday night pj party with Frozen Jammie's and frozen treats..... Perfect night for these lovelies!

Abby's Rainbow art

I love PreK rainbows made with love and folded with care!

Soccer surprise

Thank you Mrs Kelly for coming to the Kendall Park soccer game to cheer on her students!!

The Pink Flamingo has Landed

Thank you to the Gyurko family for bringing the Pink Flamingo to our neighborhood! These two lovely birds grace our hood and land in a yard telling all that there is an impromptu party to be had. It's a wonderful way to get outside and socialize with our neighbors regularly. It is such a fun idea too! I'm not sure who likes it better.... The adults or the kids!!

Sophie's new favorite

When Sophie gets to pick a special date night for dinner, her new favorite is Portillos. She has discovered cheese fries. Help!!!

Wednesday ride to Elite

I love my weekly ride to tumbling with the Binkowski kids..... It gives me a chance to catch up with them. That is, after they raid the snack bag, watch Mario, and check out the newest movie on my iPad.....

Play date at Stella's house

Never a dull moment for The Guebert and Bree girls... This play date was all about dress ups and what they want to be when they grow up. Abby wants to be a bride and a mom.

Kindergarten Soccer in the cold

Sophie is such a determined soccer player. She really pushes the ball down the field and works hard to play the game for the win. While she doesn't score, she is a key player on the team and really enjoys playing the game of soccer. She hustles on the field and just like her mom (back in the day) comes off the field with a purple face from running so hard. We are so proud of her determination.

KB photos

A big highlight of this year has been taking KB, kindergarten bear, home for the night. Kids document his travels in photos and journals. KB was lucky to get hugs from both Harper and Sophie at tumbling this evening! What a lucky bear!

Spring Soccer PreK Style

Here's a few post game shots of some happy five year olds playing soccer. They are having a lot of fun this season!
