More Disney fun...

A day at Disney has ups and downs.. Papa was mad that the camel spit water on him. Rodger was upset that he was forced to go on "It's a Small World" ride three times. The girls were upset when we had to leave. All in all, our quick trip to Disney has lots of ups and was lots of fun.

Character sightings

Here's a few cute photos of Abby and friends.

Day #2, Guebert style

After just a few hours of sleep for Rodger and Sophie, we found our way to Animal Kingdom as it opened. Abby claimed that the ride Dinosoar was "the worst ride of her life" and it didn't get any better as she rode Expedition Everest! We needed to buy stuffed animals to cheer up a not so happy little girl! Thank goodness the safari was a great experience for the Gueberts. Animal Kingdom is nice but the rides we chose for fast passes were a bust.

Park #3

To finish off the day that started with Hollywood Studios, proceeded to Epcot, continued with the dive and dinner at 10 pm, Sophie and Rodger chose to stay at the Magic Kingdom during the Magic Hours. They rode all of the major rides and stayed there until 2 am!!

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

Papa in the Germany Biergarten at Epcot
We knew Mom would LOVE the way Disney presents its flower and garden show each spring. So, we spent the afternoon walking around Epcot admiring the colors and topiary sculptures in each country. Mom is very inspired to come home and start her garden. Here are a few pictures from the day.
Sophie, Abby, and the Teddy Bear

Disney's Yacht Club

We loved the Yacht Club resort! It was so nice to walk into Epcot and easy to take the boat to Hollywood Studios. But the best part of the yacht club is definitely the pool area. We loved the sand bottom pools, lazy river and pirate ship water slide. Looking forward to going to this resort in the future....

Epcot Divequest

One of the main reasons we visited Disney World this spring break was to give Rodger another fun scuba diving experience. He dove in Epcot's In the Seas exhibit aquarium. Rodger was in the tank with sharks and sting rays... And Mickey Mouse!

Blue Oyster fun

Just some great photos from a great dinner out in Southwest Florida! Lobster, ceviche, bisque, blue cheese Cole slaw, salmon, mussels, scallops, and key lime pie make for an amazing meal. We enjoyed our time with Grandma and Papa so much!

She loves her crab legs!

Three hours in the pool

That's how we spend our vacation...

Beautiful girls

Two happy girls at Shadow Wood CC... They are so adorable in white.

Funny Bunny

Love the photos from bunnyfest.... I think this bunny thought it was funny!!!

You-nique day

To show the importance of accepting differences, Naper celebrated you-nique day. Kids wore outfits that made them special. Sophie decided to show everyone her love for swimming.

Webster Street Easter Egg Hunt

Oh how the group is getting older and larger.... After this event Lisa sent me a picture from four years ago when there were simply six kids all under four.... We are so lucky to have great friends and neighbors to enjoy holidays and life with. All of the kids were very happy with their goodies.

Legos at the MSI

After a night with the fishes, we had a day at the Science and Industry museum.... There was a new Lego exhibit, including this rendition of Cinderella's castle. The girls had to take a picture in the space suit, which I believe is an annual tradition. The great day ended with a trip to Pizza Grinder. Abby realized that she LOVES Mediterranean bread just as much as her mommy and daddy.

St Patrick's Day at Bear Paddle

Sophie, Abby, and their Naper friend Emma had a chance to take a photo with the Bear Paddle staff wearing their green for St Patty's Day!

KM class

Sophie has made good friends in her kindergarten class. Aside from her close friends Harper and Olivia that she knew prior to school, she has become friends with many other girls. She loves Olivia M, Stella, Kate, Katherine and Stephanie! This was a photo from one of the weekly blog entries in Miss March's class. It's so nice to get reports and see her having fun in school.

STEM fun

Sophie and Abby are really into building and imaginative play. They still love their Magnetiles and Legos!! Let's hope this creativity helps them in their future engineering courses.

Girls Night Out

It's a Saturday night and we are off to dinner with all of the girls... And Rodger! Dinner at Cress Creek with our favorite next door neighbors, Lisa, Ellie, and Nora!

Wednesday routine

Abby loves Wednesdays. She gets to see her cousins as we all go to Elite that day. She also loves when Mae does her hair and shares snacks before practice.
