First trip to Great America

I guess our only way to describe Great America is..... it's not Disney World.  Don't get me wrong, the girls had a great time.  But, we have spoiled our family with the amazing trips to Disney that Rodger and I found it to be a little disappointing.  Some of the rides had been around for over 30 years, and the park had some awful food... but the thing that really got to me that the "kiddie area" had characters that were so old that no kid under age 25 would know who they were.  Nevertheless, we had a fun day going on rides and roller coasters, and even the water ride!

Notice me Horton

WVHS put on a fantastic production of Seussical the Musical.  The girls really loved seeing characters that they knew on stage.  After the show, Abby could not stop singing the tunes... I don't know how she picked up on them so quickly"...a person's a person, no matter how small..."  Great job to our friend and director, Mark Duker!

Miss Krystan, Abby's ballet teacher, was in a picture at the school

Sophie and Abby met the Cat in the Hat

Look out... she's ready to perform too!!

One-on-one time

When Abby wasn't playing soccer at the regular soccer practice, Rodger decided that he needed to do something as her Dad and her coach.  So, she had her own private practice at the park.  She is quite good for her age, when she wants to play.  We predict that she will do much better when she is on a team of just girls her age and not ones one or two  years older than her!  She is lucky to have such a great Dad to play ball with her.
