Sophie's First Piano Lesson
Sophie was a little shy at her first lesson, and Mommy went inside the classroom with her. On the first day, Sophie learned about the keys of a piano and could tell the difference between high and low notes. She was given homework to do for next week. Mommy and Sophie always end each day with "...so what was your favorite part of today..." Yesterday, Sophie said "...practicing piano with Mommy".

Sophie's Sofia Party
Sophie's fourth birthday party was a Sofia the First theme. With a princess jumpy castle and various purple crowns, the kids all had a great time at her party. About 50 people attended this Royal Affair. Here are some pictures:
Sophie's smile and laugh as we sang to her was priceless |

Sophie's School Party
Since you can't get enough birthday parties, Sophie was able to celebrate with all the kids from her class. Sophie brought Princess Cookies for all the kids in her class. Below are a few pictures of the event.
Sophie's ACTUAL Birthday
When you are four years old, you get to have four birthday celebrations. Well, that's how it was for this four year old. She celebrated in Southern Illinois, at her school, on her real birthday, and then at her birthday party. Does that mean five parties for when she turns five? Absolutely not!
Nevertheless, Sophie had a great REAL birthday. She brought homemade princess cookies to school to celebrate with her friends. (photo to be uploaded later) Mommy picked her up early for a special birthday treat where she got a "rainbow pink" manicure and pedicure. We then celebrated again as a family with Grandma and Papa at Colonial Ice Cream. Sophie ate a Kitchen Sink!!!

She was so excited to go around and tell people that she had "sink ice cream". She found the whole experience to be exciting, even if it really was Daddy and Grandma that finished off the Kitchen Sink.
