It's Fall so Johansen Farms here we come!!

We met up with Rodger's cousin today at Johansen Farms in Bollingbrook to visit the petting zoo and have a Pumpkin donut or two. Everyone had a really great time petting the animals, riding a pony, taking a hay ride, and jumping in the Blow-up toys. Afterwards, we all went to Buono Beef for lunch. What a great morning.

Chicken is NOT My Favorite!
Abby has been doing very well with all of her fruits and vegetables so we thought we would try chicken. As you can see, not her favorite! Fortunately, after a couple of bites, she liked the new taste.

Happy Birthday Sophie!!
For Sophie's birthday, we attended Mass and had breakfast at one of our favorite Sunday morning restaurants, Butterfields. The waitresses sang Happy Birthday to Sophie and she finally got her Ice Cream! We are also going to have a special Mommy, Daddy, Sophie day and see Disney's Minnie and Mickey on Ice. She is wearing her new Minnie mouse outfit to celebrate the occasion.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sophie

Sophie's Mickey Mouse Splash Party was a big hit
Sophie has two favorite things: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and water. It was so fun to make these two concepts into her birthday party. Mommy enjoyed making the Mickey Mouse themed food. We had Mickeyburgers, Hot Diggity Dogs, Daisey's Rainbow Fruit Kebobs, and Donald's Cheese and Quackers (among other things). The cupcakes had mini clubhouses and Mickey shapes on them. All of Sophie's stuffed animals joined the party with their Mickey Mouse ears on. The 4 foot tall Mickey balloon greeted the guests, and the Do-It-Yourself Treat bags were a big hit. The party was attended by her family, friends, and neighbors. Thanks to Auntie Shelley for her chalk decorations and Uncle David for blowing up so many water balloons. Sophie's most memorable gift was the giant teddy bear from her friends Ryan, Natalie, Allison, and Livy.
