Today's crop

Got tomatoes?? The answer is yes! We have had gazpacho twice, pico de gallo, bruschetta, Caprese salad, and salsa this past week. I guess I'm going to need to learn how to make tomato sauce!!

First Day of School - 2011

Today was Abby's first day of school and Sophie's first day back!  Abby joined the infant room with Deb as her primary Care Giver (Deb was Sophie's Care Giver as well).  She had a wonderful first day but was too excited to play with all the new toys to take any naps.
Sophie really enjoyed her first day in the Twos classroom.  She came home singing her A, B, C's.

Sophie is Growing a Green Thumb

 

Sophie enjoys checking on the tomato plants every night with Daddy to see if we have any new Red ones.  Tonight she decided she wanted to help water all the plants.  What a little helper!!

Family Portrait

Since Loran was visiting us in Naperville during her friend's wedding, we decided to have a new family portrait taken.  Sophie was not really in the mood the day of the pictures so our options were fairly limited.  These were the best of the bunch.

Trains, Water, and Justin Roberts...

We went to Ravinia to hear our favorite children's singer, Justin Roberts. Sophie and Abby enjoyed the picnic lunch. Afterward, we explored the Botanical Garden, where Sophie enjoyed splashing around and visiting the trains.
