Happy birthday to the Museum!

Sophie is celebrating with a birthday cupcake cone that she picked out. It is purple and matches her purple outfit. The museum is soooo crowded but we still had a lot of fun!

Teddy bear parade

Sophie and Daddy marched in the Teddy bear parade at the Naperville Municipal Band concert. She was having so much fun walking around on Daddy's shoulders.

Abby is 4 months old!

Abby hit a big milestone this week. Turning four months means that she can eat baby food. She loved the highchair but not the food. Abby ate a few bites on her first attempt, and I'm sure will improve her techniques as the next weeks come by. Abby's other new thing is "talking ". She makes lots of noises... Talking to the fan, the toys, or anyone who wants to listen!

Sophie is 21 months old!

Sophie is growing so quickly. She is a very confident and happy little girl. Her latest favorite things include: walking her baby doll in the stroller, climbing on the swingset, and riding outdoor toys.

Hangin' around in the summer...

Sophie is having a great summer of fun.  She is in a music class, gym class, and ballet class.  She likes her special time with Mommy.  Abby also enjoys the music class and is really starting to develop.  She is sitting up with assistance, "talking", smiling, and holding onto blankets and toys.

Abby and Sophie played together with some toys. Abby was grabbing hold of them and spinning the wheel. Yeah for her!!

A fun time in St. Louis

 

Sophie and Abby had a great time at the Children's Museum in St. Louis.  We will definitely be visiting that place more often for the next few years.

Drunken Fish

Rodger and I went out for my birthday. Two glasses of wine for me, two beers for Rodger, and four rolls make the birthday girl a very happy woman! Something about this sushi... It is delicious!! Happy 38th to me!

Summer fun day one

It is 9:57 am on our first day of summer break. So far, I have done 30 minutes on the elliptical, fed Abby twice, changed 5 diapers, gone for a two mile walk, ate a yogurt snack, took Watson outside, called three friends, and done a play-doh art project. I'm tired just typing it all! So far, summer had been great!!

Sophie was a little jealous when Abby got to take a bath in the kitchen.  So, she took her bath in the kitchen too.  Fun bath day for both girls!
