Abby is 1 month old

Hello spring... here comes Sophie!

Now that the weather is getting warmer, we have introduced Sophie to the parks again.  She is fearless, and loves to go down the slide all by herself.  The biggest challenge is getting her to leave the park when it is time to go home.

Dad is great... He gives us chocolate cake

We went out to dinner tonight as a family to Portillo's. Sophie found the ketchup to be most enjoyable, as well as the last bite of chocolate cake. Evidence is all over her face.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2011
Abby is celebrating her (almost) one month birthday...which is tomorrow, the 18th of March.  Abby is doing well and adjusting to life outside of Mommy.  She is still wearing Newborn sized clothes, and is eating 3-4 ounces at each feeding.  Abby's schedule isn't that consistent yet, but she seems to get up around 10 pm, 2 am, and 5 am.  She is showing so many signs of looking like Sophie that people are going to call them Irish twins... which I guess isn't a bad thing on this holiday!

Parade 2011

Here are some photos from the St. Patrick's Day parade.  The weather was a bit chilly, but that didn't stop us from having a good time.  Reagan, Nell, Sophie, Maddie, Oscar, Mae, and Abby all looked great dressed up in green.  We ate corned beef and lots of snacks to celebrate the occasion.

St. Patty's Day Run 2011

"We are all winners", shouted Rodger as he began the 5K in the grueling wind and cold.

Note the new running Under Armour outfit that he purchased for the occasion... and his Spaghetti Supper t-shirt that goes against all that the running is supposed to accomplish! (but, it was the right shade of green for the Shamrock Shuffle)

Uncle David illegally entered the run, and finished successfully.  No injuries and little complaints of soreness.

Rodger looking strong here at the finish.  He ran the race in about 29:30... pretty darn great since he hadn't worked out in a month (due to Abby's birth and the big move).  Rodger felt great while running and is looking forward to Marathon day in October.

Sophie SO wanted to run with everyone in the street.  Grandma had to contain her many times.  She was very proud of her Daddy and waved to him each time he passed the house.

It's bath time!!

Abby's umbilical cord finally fell off and therefore she is now ready for Daddy and Abby bath nights in the whale tub.  It's probably difficult for others to see, but she is looking more and more like her older sister each day.  Comparing photos of the two girls has been very fun!  Go back to September 2009 and you can see a nearly identical picture of big sister.
