Ashville, North Carolina

While on our family vacation with the Gueberts, Rodger, Valerie, Janis, and Grandma Lydia went to visit the Biltmore Estate. This is the largest house in America, built in the late 1890's for the Vanderbilt family. We enjoyed a walk through the gardens, lunch at the stables, and a guided tour of the house. What a sight to see...if you have never been, please consider going there!

Baby Guebert's Shower

In addition to celebrating Grandma Lydia's 95th birthday, a party was given for us to celebrate the coming of Baby Guebert. Janis created a masterpiece by turning a watermelon into a baby carriage. We received many wonderful gifts, including home-made blankets, toys, baby supplies, bath necessities, a monitor, and a walker. Note the daddy diaper bag and t-shirt that Rodger received. He plans to wear that shirt every day once she is born (at least I hope)!!
